A vacation sounded like a good enough idea. Get away from it all, visit some small towns, spend some time alone out in the woods. Though you'd be hard pressed to find a worse time to take a vacation than just as hostilities with the Horde start to ratchet up again.
The drums of war start sounding while Xariah's blissfully enjoying her time alone, and the enemy's forces push forward. The road she'd planned to take was once safe, but is now held by an unfriendly force who'll certainly hold no reservations when it comes to capturing a lone human woman found passing through; and they'll also certainly hold no reservations when it comes to how they treat their prisoner.
